About Alto Adige
This small but mighty region may be renowned for its spectacular scenery, but the land produces an abundance of exceptional white wines.
Grapes have been grown here for almost 2,500 years. The proximity of the Alps and the Mediterranean have meant 20 different grape varieties are grown and flourish together in this region.
You’ll find both rich, Tuscan-style red wines alongside lean, Germanic style white wines, this variety of wine has seen an influence in the food of this region.
Vineyards within Alto Adige sit as high as 3,900 ft above sea level. That is a quarter of the way up Mont Blanc!
